I just want to say I love this thread suggestion. I have Aesop and Byredo and LOVE them both! A friend had Malin and Goetz a number of years ago and it absolutely blew me away but of the variety like: 'wait my hands smell SO GOOD'. I think it was the rum scent; I have not revisited. Could be an option!
may sound lame but I love buying the big Grove hand soap refills and using the same glass soap dispenser that my original soap came in. It's super gentle and good for frequent hand washers like me
To improve your tofu, a trick I learned on tik tok. Freeze and defrost your tofu TWICE and it gets a really nice chewy texture great for a crispy tofu.
Omg, "Something about the way she hides her spit?" That hit somewhere deep inside my psyche lmao.
And cornstarch on tofu is a total game changer!! I usually add poultry seasoning or vegan chicken salt to the cornstarch coating and if I'm really looking for a chicken-y taste, I'll soak the tofu in vegan chicken stock first. I just stumbled upon this and thought it might be helpful since you mentioned cutting down on meat. http://vox.com/meatless-newsletter
I use Blueland which is cool because it's plastic free and also lowkey cheaper than your typical bodega soaps. Also it comes with a glass bottle which feels wealthy. They just came out with new flavors too and im excited to run out of my current soap tablets so i can buy moreeee
No hand soap recs, but I loved this interview with Sarah Jessica Parker for Vogue! She is so thoughtful and shares some beautiful stories from previous Met Galas https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wg_MwMXGNVc
I do not have a hand soap rec bc I just buy the giant refill jugs of the original clear Softsoap with the aquarium fish on them to refill my glass soap dispensers. I am just here to echo that the final season of Search Party was complete mayhem and that I, too, adore John Early. He got me through it.

re: hand soap, Caldrea "Neroli" or "Basil Blue Sage" is the way to go

We like to buy soap in bulk to cut down on plastic waste (we also buy bleach tablets and reuse the giant soap jugs as bleach jugs). This one is simple, but feels nice on the hands and isn't too pricey! https://smile.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07VNGQRGM?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
I love the Baylis and Harding "Goodness" hand soap, I get it at Target and the Oud, Cedar & Amber scent is soooo good

For British comedy, hard recommend Stath Lets Flats. Forget how or when, but Kate Berlant led me there.
I don’t like my hand soap.
Definitely the best British comedy going!
Maalin + goetz (are those words,!?) Dark rum hand soap. I think you'll like it
