Truly, what a year! I have learned so much from your writing, and all the things you’ve shared… Thank you Haley. I had many big feels and deep laughs along the way, most notably the John Jeremiah Sullivan essay, which I clicked through to read early one morning and had to remove myself to the spare bedroom because I could not stop wheezing (eyes watering, mouth twisting) with laughter! Guess what? Pulphead is available as an audiobook! And narrated by the man himself… I just spent 19 hours in the car over two days (holiday travel) with my bf and we finally finished the last few essays… hysterical, original, and rippling with poignancy. Read a review that compares him to “Joan Didion crossed with Hunter S Thompson” and couldn’t agree more! Purely brilliant. Thank you for that gift, and so many more! Happy new year I’m so excited for more Maybe Baby in 2025. My favourite newsletter of all time! 💘

My spouse and I are going to start trying to get pregnant in 2025 and I have never read a single book about parenting lol. I really appreciate you organizing all of your posts this year-- makes it easy to go back through all the writing on parenting.
